This policy describes how VisibleCareer handles personal information on visiblecareer.com and in the signed-in application. Public resource pages are informational; they do not store the text you copy into third-party tools such as ChatGPT.

Who we are

Information we collect

  • Account. Name, email, password (handled by our auth provider), and profile settings you choose.
  • Career library. Experiences, documents you upload, resumes, stories, contacts, tasks, and similar material you enter while signed in.
  • Billing. Subscription status and payment details processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage. Logs needed to operate and debug the Services (for example, request times and error reports).
  • Affiliate and referral codes if you use them at signup.

We do not collect the prompts or resumes you paste only into ChatGPT or another tool after copying them from our public pages.

How we use it

We use this information to provide the Services: authenticate you, store your library, generate drafts you request, bill subscriptions, send transactional email, host verification or share links you create, support coaching relationships you set up, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information.

Processors

We use vendors to run the product, including:

  • Database and authentication (currently Supabase)
  • Payments (currently Stripe)
  • AI providers when you use drafting, scoring, or similar features (currently including Anthropic and OpenAI)
  • Email delivery (currently including Resend)
  • Hosting (currently including Vercel for the website and Railway for the API)

Those vendors process data on our instructions. AI providers receive the prompts and context needed for the feature you invoked.

Verification emails and sharing

If you request verification or create a public share link, the people you choose will see the content you selected. You control those requests. We keep records of verification status in your account.

Cookies and session

We use cookies or similar storage for sign-in sessions and essential site function. We do not run a third-party advertising pixel on the public pages as part of this product.

Retention

We keep account and library data while the account is open. After deletion or a long period of inactivity, we remove or anonymize data except where we must keep records (for example, billing) as required by law. You can ask us to delete an account by emailing the address above.

Children

The Services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. High school students 13 or older may use the Services. If the user is under 18, a parent or guardian should supervise the account and agree to our Terms of use.

Your choices

You can access and update much of your information in the application. You may close your account or email us to request access, correction, or deletion, subject to legal limits. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; contact us to exercise them.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be posted on this page.
