How do you prepare for a behavioral interview?

Insight

List 6–8 real incidents that cover challenge, conflict, mistake, leadership, influence without authority, and a result you are proud of. Write each as STAR+LAI. Practice out loud. Map two stories to the posting’s top requirements. Do not invent incidents to fill the list.

Guidance

  1. Dump roles, projects, and messy memories first (see “Interview yourself for achievements”).
  2. Pick incidents that show your agency, not only the team’s.
  3. Write STAR, then add Lesson, Application, Impact.
  4. Say each story out loud once. Cut until it fits 2–3 minutes.

Rules: Do not invent employers, job titles, dates, metrics, team sizes, or outcomes. If something is missing, ask me or write [unknown]. Keep hedges such as "approximately" and "more than" exactly as I stated them. Never turn a qualitative result into a number.

From this resume/notes and this posting, list 6–8 real incidents I should turn into interview stories. For each: one-line reminder, which behavioral theme it might cover, and which posting requirement it maps to. Do not invent incidents.
