How do you quantify resume achievements?

Use numbers you can stand behind: money, time, volume, people, frequency. Keep hedges (“approximately,” “more than”). If you only know “the backlog shrank,” say that. Never let a chatbot turn “improved the process” into “increased efficiency 40%.”

  1. From memory or notes, list any real numbers: budget, headcount, cycle time, customers, pages, dollars.
  2. If you remember a range, write the range.
  3. If there is no number, describe the before/after in words.
  4. Run a prompt that is allowed only to extract numbers already present, not to create them.
