How do you write a traditional chronological resume?

Insight

A traditional chronological resume lists roles from most recent to oldest, with a short summary, education, and skills. It is what most applicant systems and many humans expect. Use the same evidence you would use for a capability-forward resume; only the shape changes.

Guidance

  1. Header: name, email, phone, city/region, optional LinkedIn.
  2. Summary: three to five lines on the capability this reader should hire (see the summary guide).
  3. Experience: reverse chronological. Company, title, dates, location. 3–6 proof bullets per recent role.
  4. Education, then skills that are actually skills (tools and methods, not personality).
  5. Keep the layout ATS-friendly.

Optional. Copy this into ChatGPT or a similar tool if you want a first draft. Replace the [PASTE] sections with your own material. The work stays in that tool; we do not save it here.

Rules: Do not invent employers, job titles, dates, metrics, team sizes, or outcomes. If something is missing, ask me or write [unknown]. Keep hedges such as "approximately" and "more than" exactly as I stated them. Never turn a qualitative result into a number.

Rewrite these notes as a traditional chronological resume: reverse-time roles, standard headings (Summary, Experience, Education, Skills), proof bullets. Do not add facts. Keep it ATS-simple (no tables for core content).
